The Emotional Dependency Check-In™

Why is it so hard to step away, even when I know?

This map does not tell you that you “have emotional dependence”. Wanting contact, missing someone and feeling unsettled after conflict are ordinary features of attachment, not symptoms. What the map shows is where a normal need has become the thing that decides for you.

The aim is not to teach you to need no one. It is to help you love someone without losing yourself.

  • 28 statements, one at a time — about eight minutes.
  • Seven dimensions scored separately, so nothing is reduced to a single label.
  • One practice per dimension, for the moment the pattern is actually happening.
